Bangladesh Announce Squad For India Test, Mustafizur Rahman Unfit

Star Bangladesh bowler Mustafizur Rahman has not been included in the 15-member squad for one-off Test match against India, starting February 9 at Hyderabad. Rahman was a part of the roster for New Zealand tour but didn’t play any of the two Tests. As per chief selector Minhajul Abedin, Rahman still needs to work on his fitness. He said:
“Although he doesn’t have any problem medically, he still needs to work on his skill fitness.”
Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Nurul Hasan and Rubel Hossain are the three players who have been dropped from the squad, while Shafiul Islam and Liton Das have made a comeback to the team.
Mushfiqur Rahim, who missed the second Test against New Zealand due to injury, will return to lead the Bangladesh side for the first ever Test between the two countries in India.
Before the start of this historic Test, Bangladesh will play a practice game against Abhinav Mukund-led India A at Secundrabad.
