Bangladesh defeat Oman to enter super 10 stage at the World T20

After defeating Oman in the final group match by 54 runs, Bangladesh have entered into the Super 10 stage. In today’s match Bangladesh were invited to bat first and scored 180 runs. Tamim Iqbal played an excellent knock and set the platform for a big score. Tamim Iqbal smashed the Oman bowlers to all parts of the ground which made it tough for Oman bowlers. Bangladesh started slowly but began to play big shots. Tamim Iqbal remained not out and helped Bangladesh to reach a massive target. In reply, Oman batsmen struggled and were left stranded. Now Bangladesh will be pitted against Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Australia.

Bangladesh played excellent cricket in the qualifying round. In the first match against Holland, Tamim Iqbal scored 83 which helped them to set a competitive total. After that, the bowlers bowled well and restricted Holland. The second match was suspended due to rain. The match was reduced to 9 over’s game.

Bangladesh has produced excellent performances in the qualifying round matches. Now Bangladesh will start their T20 tournament against Pakistan. In today’s match against Oman, Bangladesh played dominating cricket and did not allow Oman a chance to enter into the game. The match was interrupted due to rain during Oman innings.

Bangladesh chances in the T20 World Cup looks good and if they play to their potential then Bangladesh can surprise the teams in their group. Bangladesh has been brilliant cricket as they beat Pakistan, Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2016 tournament.

Now the big test for Bangladesh would be to perform on the big stage against strong teams.
