Bangladesh pacer Al-Amin Hossain has registered the first hat trick of the third edition of the Bangladesh Premier League.

Defending the diminutive total of 108 runs Barisal Bulls opened up the bowling with Al-Amin Hossain and Mohammad Sami. In the fifth delivery of his first over Hossain picked up the wicket of Mominul Haque, who scored 2 runs off 6 balls, the lanky pacer delivered a short pitch ball, Mominul pulled the ball but it was not connected well. The miss hit ball rose high and was caught at the third man where former Zimbabwe wicketkeeper-batsman ran and grasped the ball.

Al-Amin has taken his hat-trick in his second over. 

Rabi Bopara was the next victim of Hossain’s furry. The England batsman nicked the ball behind the wicket as Taylor took the second catch of the match.

The third ball was the straighter that castled Nurul Hossain. With two back to back, Al-Amin was on the verge of a hat-trick.


l Amin completed his hat-trick as he uprooted Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim.

Amin has taken total five wickets that helped Barisal Bulls to nip out Sylhet Superstars in a low scoring humdinger match.

Amin’s fifth victim was Nazmul Hossain Milon, who was caught at cover by Taijul Islam in the penultimate over of the match.

Fidel Edwards has sent for a boundary that left the eight runs was needed from the last over. Taijul Islam picked up the wicket of Mohammad Shahid to complete his three-wicket haul. Four runs was needed in the last ball, but Subashis Roy managed only two.
