Alcohol, the word is enough in India to lit up controversy or a debate. In fact, drinking is banned in some parts of India including Gujarat, where first Test match between Indian and England is to be played. Keeping the problem of alcohol in mind, Foreign Office (FCO) has issued a warning for Barmy Army to stay away from drinking when they visit India to cheer for their home team, “All match venues reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who is drunk and/or disorderly,” it warns, adding that drink is banned (along with “professional camera/video/audio equipment”) from all the Test grounds” an FCO statement reads.
