Virat Kohli and Murali Vijay showed great cricketing skills as their temperament was tested to its peak in the first test against Australia at Adelaide. While Virat scored a great hundred and took the team to a position from where they could sense victory, but support from other batsmen is what he wanted to take the team through the target and give is overseas captaincy a flying start. Murali Vijay also played brilliantly as he scored 99 and was the only other player apart from Kohli who looked in great touch in the 4th innings.

Today we would talk about batsmen who have scored the most number of run in the 4th innings. Scoring in the 4th innings of a test match is probably the most difficult phase to bat in and that is when the following batsmen have stepped forward and scored runs for their team.

*Stat Updated till 13 Dec, 2014

**All stats are subject to 4th Innings of a Test Match only

Little Master tops the list with 4 tons in 4th innings, Ricky Ponting, Sarwan, Graem Smith and Younis Khan are the other 4 batsmen who make it to the list with 4 hundreds each. The only other India batsmen currently on the list is Sachin Tendulkar with 3 hundreds to his name.

Virat Kohli is still early in his Test career and has a long way to go on. With Kohli already having 2 hundreds to his name, we can definitely expect him to top this list very soon. VIrat has also scored 566 runs in the 11 innings that he has batted in the 4th innings of a match.
