Riding on the great starts from Ben Dunk and Tim Paine and the match winning blitz from skipper George Bailey, Hobart Hurricanes steered to a dramatic victory at Bellerive Oval over Brisbane Heat by 6 wickets with one over to spare.

Chasing a mammoth target of 209, Dunk and Paine got Hurricanes off to a brilliant start as they put on 120 runs in 9 overs, before Paine lost his wicket to offie Jason Floros. Dunk and Hales then continued the onslaught for the next 21 runs before Dunk became the second victim of Floros. Travis Birt then came in at number four but got out early and even failed to hit a single boundary. With 40 runs required off the last 23 balls, George Bailey, who came at number five, played a blinder and took Hurricanes to their second victory of the season. Bailey remained unbeaten on 28 of just 12 balls with 3 fours and 1 six.

Earlier after loosing the toss, Brisbane Heat also got off to a great start as both their openers Jimmy Peirson and Peter Forrest scored fifty and shared a 119 run partnership in 13 overs, before losing their wickets to Darren Sammy and Jake Reed respectively.
