The BCCI has taken a step to suspend all bilateral series tours to West Indies.

It was a sorry picture when the West Indies team decided to withdraw themselves from the India tour. There was a spat between the players of the West Indies and it’s Board with regard to payment. With neither of the two sides wanting to look back, the West Indies team went home causing BCCI huge losses.

BCCI Secretary Sanjay Patel said “BCCI will initiate legal proceedings against West Indies Cricket Board due to the abrupt cancellation of this tour. All Bilateral tours between BCCI and WICB stand suspended.”

It was expected that the BCCI will take actions against the West Indies players by not allowing them in the IPL but it wasn’t so. The BCCI has issues with the Board and not the players. It will commence legal proccedings against the WICB soon to claim damages.

India were expected to tour West Indies in a bilalteral series for 4 times in 8 years, however it is not going to be so. But there is still hope that things might turn around.
