Ben Stokes fined 15% of match fees for verbal exchange!

England all-rounder, Ben Stokes, has been fined 15% of his match fees for involving in an ugly verbal spat with the Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman. The incident happened during third and ultimate final day when Stokes and Rahman were involved in an unhealthy exchange of words. The match was stuck in a tricky situation when the incident happened.
Despite few warnings from on-field umpires, Stokes continued to argue with the local player and thus has been fined 15% of his match fees. He was found to have violated Article 2.1.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which implies to “conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game”.
In addition to that, one demerit point has also been added to Stokes account and in case if he earns 3 more points in next 24 months, then he will be in danger of being banned.
At the end, it was Bangladesh team which emerged as the winner as the Bangladesh off-spinner, Mehedi Hasan once again toppled the England batting line up on the final day forcing a win in the second test match of the series.
England will now fly to India to participate in 5 Test matches against India in the month of November and December. 3 ODIs and 3T20Is will follow the Test series.
