Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad, Ben Stokes gets angry on Stuart Broad

On day three of the first Test match against South Africa, England players Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad entered a heated conversation that didn’t look healthy for the team. It looked the vice-captain and the veteran pacer was frustrated with things not going in England’s way in the field.

After taking the wicket of a South African batsman, the England team gather for drinks where the captain Joe Root was talking to Stuart Broad. In the middle of the conversation, Ben Stokes entered and exchanged some words with Stuart Broad. The pacer was responding to the allrounder who without listening to Broad was seen angrily moving from the group.

The commentator Michael Holding, who is the former West Indies cricketer, said in a commentary that this was not a friendly conversation and it needed to be end soon.

These heated arguments between the teammates are not good for the team environment as it can also affect the team’s performance. However, Stokes and Broad at the end shook hands.

England vs South Africa:

Currently, England and South Africa are playing the first Test match at Centurion. In the first innings, England was bundled out for 181 runs. Except for top-order batsman, Joe Denly, no England batsman was able to reach the fifty mark. Vernon Philander, who is playing the last Test series of his career, and Kagiso Rabada were the most successful bowlers in that innings taking four and three wickets respectively.

However, England made a strong comeback in South Africa’s second innings. England pacer Jofra Archer picked five crucial wickets of Dean Elgar, Faf du Plessis, Rassie van der Dussen, Anrich Nortje, and Keshav Maharaj. The host was bundled out for 272 runs in their second innings.

Meanwhile, the visitor’s England is strongly fighting back as they have only lost one wicket for 121 runs at the stumps on day three while they have to chase 376 runs target in the fourth innings.
