“Bhuvneshwar Kumar is also one of the world’s best new-ball bowlers in T20 and has a very low economy rate for T20 cricket, so it would be a good challenge to go against someone of his caliber,” said Delany at a press conference prior to the start of the series.
Gareth Delany, the all-rounder from Ireland has played 37 T20Is scoring 64 runs and averaging 23.93 at a strike rate of 136.07. The spinner also picked 19 scalps averaging 27.68. He has also played 12 ODIs and scored 137 runs and picked 3 scalps in the 50-over format.

Gareth Delany Looing Forward To Bowl To Suryakumar Yadav

Gareth Delany also said that he is looking forward to bowl to Indian middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav.

Gareth Delaney also spoke about his and the Ireland team’s excitement to face a team of the calibre of India in the two-match series.
“It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity to go against the world’s best as we start off our international summer of fixtures. It’ll be a very stiff challenge against some of the best players in this format but it’s very exciting all the same. Hopefully, we’ll be able to put in two strong performances,” said the all-rounder.
Suryakumar Yadav made his international debut in the Twenty20 International series against England in February 2021. His ODI debut happened six months later during India’s tour of Sri Lanka in August 2021.
In his very first series against England, Suryakumar Yadav showed his class. In the second match of the series in February, Suryakumar Yadav blasted 57 off 31 balls with six fours and three sixes. His 28-ball fifty, studded with dazzling strokes made him an instant hit.
Even in ODIs, he displayed his mettle by registering double-digit scores in all the games that he has played. His average of 54 in ODIs and a strike rate of 155 in Twenty20 Internationals is a great start, but he has to do well in the coming years.
