Former Australian pacer Brett Lee has supported the all-round abilities of Sean Abbott saying the New South Wales cricketer should be enlisted in the fifteen men team for the forthcoming One Day International (ODI) World Cup 2015. Brett Lee noticed that Sean Abbott was the perfect bowler to be Australia’s World Cup trump card.
Brett Lee was quoted as saying by the Sydney Morning Herald on Friday that there are several reason to choose him, First – he is good fielder, second, he has got all the change ups. He bowls pretty fast, he swings the ball quite good, he bowls well at the slog over and he can hit a long ball. According to him the New South Wales pacer is the perfect package for the Australia team.
He also added that he is young, he is healthy enough to join the team, he has aggression in his bowling, he is an awesome person, if he was asked to select a bowler that should be taken for the ride and can definitely play a crucial part, and it would be Sean Abbott.
Sean Abbott made a perfect return to the field getting 6 wickets for 14 runs, rejecting the fear of bowling the bouncer that unintentionally struck Phillip Hughes in the head in a domestic match. His inspirational form has grown enough the uproar for his addition in the World Cup team.
Brett Lee added that he is really valued how the media have got him, but he does not want to keep reading about it. He thinks he wants to move on. Brett Lee also said that he has got some wonderful teammates around him. And he thinks he has proven it in his cricket.
The retired pacer said about Sean Abbott’s bowling statistics and gave compliment his skills as a bowler. He said that his statistics are very implausible, his strike rate is also implausible, and he is a man who can certainly put his hand up. He thinks they might want to keep him more for Test cricket and limit how much cricket they want him to play. That World Cup will be a heavy work load on the bowlers.
