India’s premier all-rounder in the longest format of the game, Ravindra Jadeja has been warming the benches in the limited overs format as wrist spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal has done a tremendous job during the ODI series against Australia and was instrumental in helping India cruise to a 4-1 series win.
Jadeja was not in the original squad as the selectors had decided to rest Ashwin and Jadeja who had been playing constant cricket. He was brought back when Axar Patel was injured but wasn’t part of the playing XI in any of the matches. The left-arm spinner who is currently ranked 2nd in the ICC Rankings despite not being part of the playing XI took an important catch of Steve Smith as a substitute fielder during the 2nd ODI which turned the game India’s way and from there on there was no way back for the Aussies in the series.
Meanwhile, despite not being in cricketing action, Jadeja’s name came into the limelight when a usual post was seen on his official Facebook Page. An advertisement was posted which said, a building up for lease or rent. “Kuber avenue, Jamnagar 1st floor available for lease/rent, 6040sq carpet” was the address and required information about the house.

Now the main question which arises that why does a cricketer of Jadeja’s stature require a social networking site to give advertisement for sale of his house and what does this signify. It was not taken in the right taste by many fans and they trolled him mercilessly. It is still not known whether the post was posted by mistake. It was either done by his fans or can be a malfunction. Whatever it may be, the mystery is still unsolved.
Meanwhile, Jadeja is expected to be back in the squad when Sri Lanka travels here for a Test series and the left-arm spinner will be looking to regain his numero uno position in the ICC Test Rankings for Bowlers. Despite his success in longest format, it will be tough for both Ashwin and Jadeja to force their way back into the limited overs teams especially after the success of Kuldeep and Chahal.
