South African are yet to win a World Cup in their cricketing history. They choke under pressure and become nervous. But the skipper believes that his team has a chance to win it finally with the team having some good batsmen like Hashim Amla, JP Duminy, Faf Du Plesis and strong bowling attack which can exploit the conditions in Australia and New Zealand. The South African bowling attack comprises of Dale Styen, Morne Morkel, a Vernon Philander, Kyle Abbott and Wayne Parnell. They just need to aggressive to began and play to their strengths. This team has been playing good One day International cricket from the past 6 to 7 months barring one bad series in Australia, which they lost 4-1.

In Test matches performance of the South African team has been exceptional. Captain Hashim Amla has been great with the bat and de Villiers also performed well in the recently concluded Test series against West Indies. South Africa has been the number one ranked side in Tests for 42 months.

In the test matches against South Africa the batsmen and bowlers did a wonderful job of scoring runs and picking up wickets. Dale Steyn is a lethal bowler and does not give the batsmen an oppounrity to score freely. Their partner bowlers are also good bowlers which can extract bounce and the other can swing. The main test of the South Africans will be when they travel to India later this year for 3 test matches. Simon Harmer was good in his debut test match and picked up crucial wickets.
