‘Can’t wait to meet you’, Rohit Sharma writes on twitter about Rhinos
After the successful Sri Lanka series, the players are now taking some time off the field in their own ways to rejuvenate themselves. While Virat Kohli was seen playing gully cricket and planning to expand his business, Rohit Gurunath Sharma is on some ‘noble deed’ mode. The player will soon be seen in a ‘save Rhino’ campaign.
Rohit will be visiting OI Pejeta, one of only two wildlife conservancies in Africa to be awarded the honor of being listed on the IUCN Green List of Protected Areas.
Earlier Wednesday, the player took social media to urge people to help in the campaign. His official facebook page said,
“I’m headed to The OI Pejeta Conservancy to meet Sudan the last male Northern White African Rhino to help create awareness and help save the species from extinction. Sudan needs your help too!
Can’t wait to meet you, big guy! Turkish airlines”

Previously, the player was seen campaigning for PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Looking at the huge fan following of the cricketer, it can be said that it is a nice gesture and a commendable effort from his side to make people aware and be concerned about happenings other than cricket.
