CEAT to be Indian Premier League’s Strategic Timeout Partner

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Friday declared tyre manufacturer CEAT as it’s strategic timeout partner for the forthcoming Indian Premiere League (IPL) season 8 scheduled in April-May.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India said in a statement that CEAT, the leading Indian tyre maker, has commenced an association with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) by becoming the Strategic Timeout Partner for the Pepsi IPL.

Anurag Thakur, BCCI Secretary said, that they welcome CEAT as the Strategic Timeout Partner for the Pepsi IPL. The complexion of a Twenty 20 match can change with every ball. This makes the strategic timeout an important part of every Pepsi IPL match, as it gives the teams the chance to discuss and rework their tactics.

He also added that the discussions that take place during the strategic timeout, have a direct bearing on the result of the match. They look forward to their association with CEAT.

Anant Goenka, CEAT Managing Director said the company expects to benefit from the tie-up with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

He said that the Pepsi IPL has appeared as the biggest cricket property in India and given CEAT’s long-term association with cricket, this became the perfect stage for them to come on board.
