Over the years cricketers have given us many moments to enjoy both on and off the field. Given their popularity, we also love any sorts of the funniest moment on the cricketing field, and one of the most unusual incidents happened during a Caribbean Premier League match between the Amazon Guyana Warriors and the Jamaica Tallawahs.
Kesrick Williams who plays for the Jamaica Tallawahs defeated Guyana earlier in the tournament. During their run chase, it was Kesrick Williams who got them the first breakthrough in the form of Chadwick Walton’s wicket. Then he brought out his traditional note book celebration and asked the batsman to take a note of it as Walton was about to leave.
This incident didn’t go down well with Chadwick Walton, and he was in a mood to take revenge. In the return leg, it was Walton who unleashed a barrage of big shots, and like Kesrick Williams, he too brought out the notebook celebration after every shot. He smashed Kesrick Williams all around the park, and the Tallawahs were left scratching their head.
Williams was smashed for as many as 26 runs in the 4th over as Walton smashed a couple of fours and sixes while Luke Ronchi also smashed a six off the last ball. Kesrick wasn’t spared even during his return spell, and for one more time Walton celebrated taking out his notebook on several occasions. It was arguably one of the funniest incidents in the cricket field.
Meanwhile, Kesrick Williams had nowhere to hide as he smashed mercilessly by Chadwick. It was an onslaught, to say the least, and Williams would think twice from the next time before giving any batsmen a send off like this. The commentators too couldn’t control their emotion and even said that Walton was perhaps writing at the back of the book as he had celebrated so much that all the papers in the book would be finished.
