The second match, whcih will be played in Chennai today between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils promises to be another exciting battle. Here we look at the predicted 11 and man to analysis between of the two teams.

Chennai Super Kings

Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Smith, Suresh Raina, Faf Du Plesis, Dwayne Bravo, MS Dhoni(C), Ravindra Jadjea, R Ashwin, Ashish Nehra, Mohit Sharma, Ishwar Pandey.

Delhi Daredevils

Quinton De Kock, Mayank Aggarwal, Manoj Tiwary, Yuvraj Singh, JP Duminy(C), Kedar Jadhav, Shreyas Iyer, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Amit Mishra, Imran Tahir, Mohmmad Shami.

1. Captains

This is first battle to look for in this match. The captains play a crucial role in helping the team winning the match. MS Dhoni is one of the finest captains and has led Chennai Super Kings to a title twice and has more captaincy experience than his counterpart JP Duminy. JP Duminy has been made the captain Delhi Daredevils for IPL 8 and needs to lead from front if Delhi has to beat Chennai. In this battle MS Dhoni is favourite because of captaincy experience.

2. Brendon McCullum vs Quinton De Kock

Brendon Mccullum and Quinton De Kock needs to give their teams a good start if they have to post a competitive total. Brendon McCullum has the ability of just putting pressure on opposition from first ball and not allow the bowlers to settle while Quniton De Kock did not have great IPL 7 but has the ability hit good strokes and score at quick pace. This battle will be won by Brendon McCullum because of his power hitting and the form he is carrying which saw his national team New Zealand to final in 2015 World Cup last month.

3. Dwayne Smith vs Mayank Aggarwal

Dwayne Smith is an attacking batsman and with Brendon MucCullum as partner the bowlers need to bowl good line and length. The West Indian is one of the dangerous batsmen in T-20 format and is miles ahead compared to Mayank Aggarwal who plays for Karnataka in the domestic tournament and too, in his own right, is an attacking batsmen but needs to play judicious shots. So Dwayne Smith wins this battle with ease.

4. Suresh Raina vs Manoj Tiwary

This is another interesting battle to look out for. Suresh Raina is one of the attacking batsmen in the IPL and is the leading scorer in IPL history. He comes at the fall of first wicket and changes the momentum of the match with his power-hitting while Manoj Tiwary will be looking to make good use of IPL and scoring runs for Delhi Daredevils and stake a claim in the Indian team. Raina should prevail in this battle hands down.

5. Faf Du Plesis vs Yuvraj Singh

This is one of the interesting battles in the match. Faf du Plesis has been in excellent form for South Africa and can play lofted shots when required. He is great runner between the wickets but Yuvraj Singh has been bought by Delhi for 16 Crores and will look to make best use of it. Yuvraj Singh is more experienced but Faf Du Plesis can be useful. This battle evens out.

6. Dwayne Bravo vs Kedar Jadhav

Dwayne Bravo is excellent option for Chennai Super Kings. In the last edition he didn’t play enough matches for Chennai. He comes in the lower order and can the hit the ball a long way. He is useful bowler but Kedar Jadhav too played well for Delhi Daredevils last season and impressed. Dwayne Bravo wins this battle for me.

7. Ravindra Jadjea vs Shreyas Iyer

This is battle is on to keep an eye on for cricket fans who are serious followers of the game. Ravindra Jadjea is good option for Chennai Super Kings in the middle overs with his utility left-arm spin and also knows how to bowl because his tuning with MS Dhoni in the Indian team, while Shreyas Iyer who has been bought for Rs 2.6 cr by Delhi Daredevils is rated highly in Mumbai cricketing circles with many hailing him as the next ‘Rohit Sharma.’

8. R Ashwin vs Nathan Coulter-Nile

R Ashwin is an experience bowler and puts pressure on the batsmen. He bowled well in the World Cup 2015 and created pressure on the batsmen. With the pitch at Chennai helpful for spinners he will a handful while Nathan Coulter-Nile is a clean hitter of the ball and also is more than useful bowler with bowling at death his speciality. This battle is too hard to call.

9. Ashish Nehra vs Amit Mishra

Ashish Nehra who joined CSK in previous season plays his Ranji cricket for Delhi. He is one of the most experienced bowlers who has served India for decade is up against Amit Mishra who bowls well with wrist spinner and was bought by Delhi. This battle evens out because of both of being Indians knowing conditions well.

10. Mohit Sharma vs Imran Tahir

This is another interesting battle to look for out. On one side Mohit Sharma is a young Indian bowler who bowled well in the World Cup 2015 and helped India reach the semi finals. One weakness Mohit Sharma has is death bowling. He needs to improve on that in death while Imran Tahir also bowled in World Cup 2015. He is useful bowler and he need to pick wickets in the middle overs. In this battle Imran Tahir has his nose ahead.

11. Ishwar Pandey vs Mohmmad Shami

Ishwar Pandey is another youngster who bowls well with new ball and picks wickets early on in the innings, while Mohmmad Shami has the experience of bowling with good pace and is coming on the back of an excellent World Cup. Mohmmad Shami is more experienced than Ishwar Pandey. So that is why Mohmmad Shami wins the battle.

Match Prediction: With Chennai Super Kings playing on home soil it will be tough task for Delhi Daredevils to beat Chennai at their home turf.
