In a news which just came in, Jamaican star Chris Gayle is set to miss the next two IPL games, against Mumbai Indian on April 20 and against Rising Pune Supergiants on April 22 respectively, for RCB in the Indian Premier League as he has left the country, as he is expecting his first child, for Jamaica to meet his partner Natasha Berridge.
As per reports, an RCB confirmed the news. “Chris flew back immediately after RCB’s last match (against Delhi Daredevils on April 17). We did not expect this. He got a call and flew back home,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Gayle also confirmed this when he wrote on his Instagram account, “I’m on my way, Baby.”
The 36-year-old hard hitter is expected to join the RCB squad on April 25.
Here is that Instagram post:
So far Gayle has failed in this season’s first 2 matches of the IPL scoring 0 and 1 against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi daredevils respectively. So this might turn out to be a blessing in disguise for RCB.
RCB skipper Virat Kohli, though, believes that Gayle will turn around his bad form sooner rather than later.
