Guyana Amazon Warriors won by six wickets.

The second match of the Carribean Premier League (CPL) 2018  between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots turned out to be a one-sided affair. Guyana Amazon Warriors sailed through a six-wicket win on the back off a fine 79 from Shimron Hetmyer. In fact, the first contest was a similar story when Trinbago Knight Riders smashed St Lucia Stars by 100 runs in CPL 2018. Sportzwiki brings you the Match Report of the second match of CPL.

Shoaib Malik won the toss and decided to field first. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots were able to put 146 on the board after their allotted 20 overs. In fact, Chris Gayle was the only batsman among the runs for the visiting team.

Match Report for the second match of CPL.

The Universe Boss scored a fine 86 off 65 balls to take his side to a respectable score. Gayle scored seven boundaries and five maximums in his blistering knock.

However, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots skipper didn’t receive any support from the other end. Therefore, the tourists were able to put a mere total of 146. Keemo Paul scalped two wickets for the hosts.

On the other hand, the home side Guyana Amazon Warriors cruised to the victory with ease. However, the hosts didn’t get off to an ideal start when they lost two quick wickets with only nine runs on the board.

Nevertheless, the southpaw batsman Shimron Hetmyer was able to take charge of the run-chase. The left-hander scored a fine 79 off just 45 balls. The Windies batsman hammered nine fours and four sixes in the quickfire knock.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Lamichhane impressed with the ball for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots as the leg-spinner scalped two wickets. Furthermore, the young sensation gave away only 12 in his four overs quota in the second match of CPL.
