Today (15th August) is the day when every Indian citizen is filled with a patriotic feeling. They proudly speak of being an Indian and sung praise on the diversity of the country. Cricket fraternity had also shared their pride in donning their country’s jersey on Independence Day.
Cricket in India has altogether a different meaning. People do not just take it is a sport but for them, it’s like showcasing their culture. Indian fans celebrate the victory in the cricket field like winning a war.
The players are warriors for them. Some fans even worship the Indian cricketers as their God.

Taking to Twitter, Rohit Sharma also shared his proud feeling of representing the country. He wrote “Nothing like stepping out for our country’. Team India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav also wrote “No better feeling than representing our wonderful country.”
India’s Test specialist Mayank Agarwal also shared his proud moment of donning the Indian jersey, ‘Nothing can even come close to the feeling of donning my country’s jersey.’
Team India’s captain Virat Kohli wished for the betterment of the country. He also heaped praise on India’s front line workers who are swearing hard for helping the country in the testing times of coronavirus.
