Cricketing World Congratulates Roger Federer For Record Wimbledon Title

Tributes poured in all from all quarters after Roger Federer thrashed Marin Cilic to win a record eighth Wimbledon title on Sunday (July 16). The Swiss star, who surpassed Pete Sampras and William Renshaw’s seven Wimbledon titles, decimated Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 to extend his record Grand Slam tally to 19.

Widely considered as the greatest Tennis player of all time, the 34-year old gave a clinical performance throughout the game. With Federer looking in his elements, Cilic was already finding it tough to handle the world number 3 and any chance of causing an upset all but ended when he suffered an injury after the first set. Federer, nevertheless, was at his devastating best as he defeated the Croatian in straight sets.

Federer has been showed with praise of the highest quality from all the corners of the world and the cricketers also joined the list. Here are some of the wishes from the cricketers for the tennis legend.
