South African cricketer Dale Steyn is the dangerous bowler who has the ability to swing the ball in both ways. The opposition batsman often faced difficulty to play against him. The pacer has revealed the names of the player who were best against him.
Amid the lockdown, the players are engaging with the fans through social media. Dale Steyn also opened up the question and answer round on Twitter where a fan asked him to name the best batsman, and he has played against.
The Proteas pacer believes that every player is best against him. But he picked the Australian legend Ricky Ponting to be best he has faced. He also named the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as a wall. Apart from Sachin, he picked another Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid on the list. Former England Cricketer Kevin Pietersen and West Indies veteran Chris Gayle are also in his list of the best batsman, and he has played against.
Faaak bud they all good ey! Ponting was prime, Sachin was a wall, Dravid, Gayle, KP, they were all so good! https://t.co/oJbOitUDd0

Steyn, who has retired from Test cricket last year, in another question answered about pacers having perfect bowling action. The 36-year-old termed his team-mate Kagiso Rabada’s action as “smoothest and easiest action to generate pace”. Steyn also picked Australian speedster Pat Cummins as his close favourite bowler.
Dale Steyn was at his sublime best:
The pacer has not played a game for South Africa after the last playing against an ODI match against Sri Lanka in March 2019. He was out of the game because of the injury and since then hasn’t made a comeback in the national team. Though he featured in the Big Bash League and Pakistan Super League (PSL) this year.
It will be hard for the 36-year-old cricketer to return to the national team. He might feature in the T20 World Cup 2020, but he will have to work hard to prove himself.
