David Warner was dropped from the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) playing XI in the 2021 edition of the IPL. The way SRH skipper David Warner was treated by the SRH franchise hogged the spotlight in the world of cricket.

Brad Haddin: Circumstances To Drop SRH Skipper David Warner Was Out Of Coaching Staff’s Control

Brad Haddin also added that David Warner was not out of form and turned up in a good mental space. Brad Haddin also revealed that the former SRH skipper was striking the ball well in the nets but the situation was out of control.

“I tell you what it was not a cricket decision that he was not playing for SunRisers Hyderabad. I think the one thing you have to realize with David is that he was not out of form, he was out of match practice. They had a long break, he did not go to Bangladesh or West Indies. But he turned up in really good headspace. He was hitting the ball well, circumstances were out of our control, even the coaching staff,” said Brad Haddin.

Brad Haddin also said that David Warner was not out of form and needed some match time to get back in the groove. IPL 2021 has been David Warner’s worst season ever with just 195 runs in 8 games, with two fifties, averaging 24.38, and striking at 107.73. As the IPL 2021 season resumed in UAE, the Aussie opener featured in the first two games for SRH but aggregated just 2 runs.

After being dropped from SunRisers Hyderabad’s playing XI during IPL 2021, David Warner turned the clock back during Australia’s maiden T20 WC-winning campaign and was awarded Player of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. He scored 49 and 53 in the semi-final against Pakistan and final against New Zealand respectively.

Brad Haddin: David Warner Has Got A Back Of Rhythm Into His Game Which Was Good To Watch

Brad Haddin added that Australian opener David Warner has got the rhythm back into his game in the way he is playing and is very good to watch.

“But it was not because he was out of form. All he needed was some match time, he was hitting the ball well. He just needed to spend some time in the middle to get the rhythm again. As the tournament went on, you have seen his class. He got a bit of rhythm back into his game and he was good to watch,” concluded Haddin.
