Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Dhawal Kulkarni will ply on his trade for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming season of the IPL. Kulkarni had scalped six wickets in the 10 matches of the IPL 2019. The right-arm pacer had played for Mumbai Indians from 2008 to 2013. Thus, it would be a homecoming for the right-arm seamer.
Kulkarni had also featured for Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016 and 2017. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians opening batsman Evin Lewis has moved to Rajasthan Royals. Lewis had only scored 48 runs in the three matches of the IPL 2019.

On the other hand, Dhawal Kulkarni has played 33 matches for the four-times champions Mumbai Indians. In fact, Kulkarni had begun his IPL journey with the Mumbai Indians. The right-arm pacer has snared 36 wickets while playing for the Rohit Sharma-led side.
Kulkarni has played 90 IPL matches in which he has taken 86 wickets at an average of 27.92. The right-arm pacer is known to hit the good length areas and he would like to deliver the goods for Mumbai Indians. Kulkarni concedes his runs at an economy rate of 8.27 in the Twenty-20 league.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have also traded their former skipper Ajinkya Rahane to Delhi Capitals. In lieu, Capitals have got Rahul Tewatia and Mayank Markande from the Royals.
Mumbai Indians is the most successful side with four titles. The defending champions already have fast bowlers like Lasith Malinga, Trent Boult, and Jasprit Bumrah. Thus, it would be interesting to note how many chances will Dhawal Kulkarni get.
On the other hand, Evin Lewis might get more chances in Rajasthan Royals as Ajinkya Rahane’s move to Delhi Capitals has left an opening spot up for grab.
The trade window is all set to get close today. The IPL auction will take place on December 19 at Kolkata.
