Dindigul Dragons defeats Thiruvallur in a high scoring contest, Ashwin rested

Dindigul Dragons who were enjoying the arrival of R. Ashwin surprised everyone by getting on the field sans R. Ashwin as he was rested for the game. But his absence of did not affect them much as they won the quite comfortably. Batting first riding on the 87 not out from N Jagadeesan, the team put up a huge total of 163 on the board. Jagadesan got great support from his opening partner and both shared a partnership of 127 runs for the first wicket. R Vivek who played just 6 balls in the end plundered 16 runs in to make a big difference in the end.

Chasing this target was never going to be easy for the Dragons and as expected, they kept on losing wickets on a regular basis. R Sanjay Yadav tried his level best to make a difference but he alone could not achieve what he wanted to do. He scored quick fire 53 of 31 balls but in the end, it was the Dindigul dragons who won the game. Murugan Ashwin starred with the ball taking 3 wickets for just 27 runs. N Jagadeesan was awarded man of the match award for his innings of 87*.
