Dinesh Chandimal Reveals All-Time Playing XI; Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli Included

Amid the lockdown, the cricketers are communicating and entertaining fans in different ways. Some are revealing their cricket stories while some are taking out time to answer fans’ questions on Social media. Many have also given their playing XI. The latest to join them in the list is the former Sri Lankan cricketer Dinesh Chandimal. He chooses his all-time playing XI, which has two Indians, five Sri Lankans, two South African, One West Indies, and England legend.

The wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Chandimal is the Test cricketer of Sri Lanka. The 30-year-old, so far, has played 146 ODIs and 57 Test matches. And, he last played a Test match against Zimbabwe earlier this year.

England great Alastair Cook and legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar are selected for the opening stand by Dinesh. At batting No.3, he chose his countrymen Kumar Sangakkara, who will also don the gloves. Following this, current Indian captain Virat Kohli will bat in the fourth position. Then are the two great batsmen Brian Lara, the West Indies legend who has played 131 Test matches and 299 ODIs and Mahela Jayawardene. The former Sri Lankan captain is picked as the captain by Dinesh.

The team has only one allrounder Jacques Kallis, who is an all-time great allrounder of South Africa. In the bowling department, Dinesh has picked up two pacers and two spinners. South African cricketer Dale Steyn and Chaminda Vaas are in and out two fast bowlers. At the same time, two Sri Lankan ex-captain Muttiah Muralitharan and Rangana Herath are the spinners in his all-time playing XI.
