ENG vs IND 2018: Twitter Trolls James Vince for Series Wrap up Comment

England have called James Vince as the cover-up for injured Jonny Bairstow for the fourth Test against India starting on August 30 at Ageas Bowl.

While England needs just one win to seal the series, India needs to win or at least draw to keep the series alive. Should India lose this Test, it will be all over for them in the five-match Test series.

Bairstow sustained a finger injury during the third Test at Trent Bridge. He came to bat in the second essay but lasted only one ball.

Meanwhile, James Vince last played Test cricket for England in April against New Zealand. He was later dropped at the start of the home summer. He, however, has been in good form of late, scoring 74 and 147 against Nottinghamshire this month.

Vince also averages 56 in the County championship this season. He is likely to get in the playing eleven if Bairstow fails to recover from the injury.

James Vince decided to celebrate his return to the national side with a Tweet. He expressed his excitement upon joining the squad and admitted that Southampton is the best place to seal the series.

Thank you for the messages of support. Very excited to be joining up with the squad @TheAgeasBowl next week. No better place to wrap the series up,” James Vince tweeted.

Here is how Twitter reacted to James Vince’s comment:

Meanwhile, the prediction didn’t go down well with the team India fans. They came hard on him and trolled for dreaming big.

However, England leads the five-match Test series by 2-1.

However, the momentum will be with India who thrashed England by 203 runs at Trent Bridge. It will be an exciting clash with both teams trying to stamp their authority on the cricket field.
