England vs India: England rule as India collapse for mediocre score of 152

In a crucial match of the test series, Indians were be trashed down by English players on day 1. India bundled out for 152 after been reduced to just 8 for 4. Later England lost 3 wickets scoring 113.

The final session began with England’s innings. Bhuvi on one end started well along with Pankaj. Robson got off an edge off Pankaj but it failed to carry to Vijay as Dhoni didn’t attempt to move or dive. But soon Bhuvi sent Robson back with a beauty of inswinger. Aaron who came in this game in place of Shami started well with bowling at full pace and releasing bouncers. Cook was trapped at this plan as he tried to play a hook as it took a top edge at the extra pace and ended up at long leg.

Later Bell came in with an aggressive intent and along with Ballance he made Indians frustrate. In the last over Aaron trapped Ballance in front as India ended day with 3 wickets.

Earlier, after winning the toss which was delayed due to rain, India chose to bat. Indians straight away struggled as the comeback player, Gambhir gone as India were 8 for one. Soon at the same score India lost 3 more wickets making it 8 for 4 as Vijay, Kohli and Pujara departed for duck. Rahane along with Dhoni tried to make up the things but got out before Lunch.

After Lunch interval, India lost Jadeja but Ashwin put up a good stand along with MSD. He played an aggressor as he scored run a ball 40 before playing a pull short straight into fielders’ hands. Dhoni then tried out to score quickly and departed for a well-made 71.

6 Indian batsmen got out for duck in this innings which was the first instance for India and fourth in overall.
