Bangladesh is set to host the two-match T20I series between Asia XI and World XI in March 2020 at Dhaka. BCCI joint secretary Jayesh Geroge has proclaimed that five Indians will participate in the Asia XI squad.

The T20 matches will be held on March 18 and 21 in Dhaka, a time when South Africa will be in India for an ODI series and the third match of the series is clashing with the first Asia XI-World XI match. So, major Indian cricketers may not participate in this series.

Here, Sportzwiki has selected the five Indian players who can get the opportunities in the Asia XI squad.

5. Vijay Shankar

The Tamil Nadu player has not got a chance in the Indian team after he was dropped between the ICC World Cup 2019 tournament as he was injured. In the mega event, he picked the wicket in the first ball, becoming the third player to do so.

Vijay Shankar has played nine T20Is since his debut in March 2018. He got the chance to play his first ODI match in January 2019. He has scored 324 runs and also taken nine wickets in 21 international games. The allrounder may get the chance in Asia XI to prove himself at the international level.

Meanwhile, Shankar is currently busy playing the Ranji Trophy match for Tamil Nadu.
