KKR sealed an emphatic win over Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens. Batting first, the home side posted a big total of 172 on the board which Hyderabad never looked like chasing, as they had a poor start, losing both the openers within first ten overs with the run rate touching exactly six.
The middle order also crumbled under pressure and in the end, the visiting team found themselves lagging by a margin of 17 runs to lose the game.
The big news for KKR was that Robin Uthappa, who looked out of rhythm till now, got his Midas touch back, as he played an innings of 68 in just 39 deliveries to lead the team’s way to a big total. Uthappa might now be given a chance to open the innings in next game, keeping the fact in mind that he has returned back in form.
KKR will take on Delhi Daredevils in their next game, whereas, Sunrisers Hyderabad will meet Kings XI Punjab in their next clash.
