Good To See Some Of The Young Kids Come And Perform Really Well – Indian Head Coach Rahul Dravid Shares His View On IPL 2023

Indian head coach Rahul Dravid was happy to see the Indian players performing well in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He revealed that the Indian management has a regular discussions among themselves about players who’re performing in the cash-rich IPL. The National team coach was seen watching the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals match on Sunday in Chinnaswamy Stadium.

2023 is touted to be an important year for the Indian team with World Test Championship final, Asia Cup, and ODI World Cup scheduled later this year. Indian team management is having a close look at the players to keep them ready for important ICC events this year.

Rahul Dravid was seen enjoying the afternoon game between RCB and RR. Speaking to iplt20.com on the sidelines of the game, the former Indian skipper said that coaches and support staff of the Indian team are having a close look at the Indian players.

“Obviously you have one eye as a fan but you also have one eye as a coach is open. You are always looking to see how the boys are doing who are part of the white-ball setup (for India). So some regular discussions among the coaches as well. When you see something happening we always text and keep messaging each other about stuff. Good to see some of the young kids come and perform well,” Rahul Dravid said.

With Rahul Dravid in the stands, Indian regulars Mohammed Siraj and Yuvendra Chahal performed well for the respective sides, with Devdutt Padikkal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Dhruv Jurel impressing for Rajasthan Royals with the bat in the 2nd innings.

It’s a Lot More Relaxing To Watch It This Way – Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid cheekily said that it was more relaxing to watch from the stands rather than sitting in the dugout as the coach as it’s more tiring to analyze the game at different stages from the dressing room and added it was good to have some off time with the family.

“Yeah, it’s a lot more relaxing to watch it this way than to watch it as a coach. You are a lot more invested in the game as a coach. You are analyzing everything. Just lovely to come here, watch it, and have some fun. The family is here as well, lovely stadium and good vibes, good atmosphere. Two teams that I have played for as well. So it’s nice, once in a while, to watch a game of cricket without thinking about it too much,” Rahul Dravid added.

Rahul Dravid-led support staff will start their planning and preparation for the WTC final and ODI World Cup, as India will look to put an end to the ICC title drought as their last win came against England In ICC Champions Trophy 2013 under the leadership of legendary MS Dhoni.
