It appears that this is high time for our renowned former cricketers to enjoy a bit of other ball games! Yesterday, legend Sachin Tendulkar was seen enjoying a live match at Wimbledon. He is in London to play an exhibition cricket match on 5th July. And now former Indian bowling star Harbhajan Singh has availed an opportunity to meet none other than the great football personality Pele, during the ongoing FIFA world cup In Brazil.

Harbhajan is known to be a football fan and has travelled to Brazil especially for the World Cup. Harbhajan was just like any other fan in front of the legendary Pele, who scored over 600 goals in his career

Appreciating Pele, Harbhajan said, “A lifetime experience. It was a great meeting with the legend. He is a simple man. Football is a simple game, and this big icon is also so simple. He somehow knew what cricket is and it’s a great sports in India. He asked me if I had ever played football and I said yes we do play football during our warm ups. It was a pleasure meeting him. I enjoyed it.”

When Pele was asked about his popularity, he said, “I played sports to become the best and worked hard to get there. Also it is easier becoming star but to sustain it is a big challenge. That challenge gets you going.”

Pele also advised Harbhajan on how to make a comeback, saying, “Keep the ball rolling.”
