Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes is in India for shooting the upcoming cricket assignment. He shares the picture from the sets on Instagram. The Indian star off-spinner Harbhajan Singh comments on the Rhode’s post and takes a dig at the performance of South Africa.
The best fielder in the cricket world, Jonty Rhodes, was shooting in Mumbai. He shared a picture on Instagram from Mehboob studio. In that picture, Rhodes was wearing the South Africa Legends jersey.
He captioned it with: “Feels good to be back in the green and gold, even if it is only for a shoot at the iconic #mehboobstudio in Mumbai #stillflying”
Harbhajan Singh commented on the picture and indirectly takes the dig at the current South African team that is playing against India in the Test series. He asked Rhodes to join the Proteas team in Ranchi to play the final Test match.
Harbhajan wrote: “Can u play the last test in Ranchi SA need some batting Jonty.”
South Africa’s low performance in the Test series
In ongoing India vs South Africa Test series, India has won the two Test matches and has secured the series victory. Both teams will play the last Test match in the three-match Test series in Ranchi.
South African players are struggling in all the departments. Faf du Plessis-led team is under transition period as the team, which is touring India, is almost inexperienced.
The top order South African batsmen have lost the wickets at regular intervals. The lower-order batsmen are more impactful than the openers. Overall batting department has shown disappointing performance. So, Harbhajan urges Rhodes to join the national team in the Ranchi Test to increase the competition.
