Harsha Bhogle, one of the most respected commentators in the cricketing world, has picked his final 15-men squad of the Indian team for the ICC World Cup 2015. He did this on his official twitter account.

The squad features:

6 batsmen: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane

1 wicket-keeper batsmen: MS Dhoni

4 fast-bowlers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma

4 all-rounders: Axar Patel, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Stuart Binny

Harsha mentioned that if Ravindra Jadeja fails to recover in time from his shoulder injury, leggie Karn Sharma will be the most suitable choice to replace him in the squad.

On Stuart Binny’s selection, Harsha said that Binny’s seam bowling will come in handy given the fact that India are scheduled to play in Perth and Hamilton. Also, he’ll provide an extra batting option to skipper Dhoni.

India’s final 15-men squad for the WC will be chosen on 6th January and it’ll be interesting to see whether the selectors pick the all-rounder Binny or they go a genuine fast-bowler in the name of Dhawal Kulkarni or Varun Aaron.
