I worked on my batting after the World Cup: Eoin Morgan

Shashi / 08 May 2015

Eoin Morgan, star player for the SunRisers Hyderabad, says his recent form is the result of a much needed knock and subsequent training after the recent World Cup.

Morgan performed quite poorly in the World Cup for the English national squad, scoring just ninety runs after playing a total of five innings.

Morgan recently led his IPL side to a victory following spectacular batting performance against rivals ide Rajasthan Royals, earning the Man of The Match title as well.

SunRisers are in the gallows now, and the victory against Rajasthan Royals keeps their hopes of a play-off alive.

Shikhar Dhawan also did not fail to perform, managing 54, and Eoin Morgan, scoring 68 off 28 balls

In contrast, Rajasthan Royals crumbled quickly, losing their star batsman Ajinkya Rahane cheaply for just 8 runs.

Kevin Pietersen stated on record that Eoin Morgan will be better used gaining experience in the Indian Premier League than starting for England duty.

England are facing off against Ireland soon, but Pietersen is confident that they are ready to tackle the challenge suitably.

Morgan was made captain after Alistair Cook was dropped for the role , and was unable to perform well at the Cup.
