South Africa’s two bowlers were able to gain in the ICC ODI Rankings after they went on to clean sweep Zimbabwe by 3-0. Proteas leg-spinner Imran Tahir and fast bowler Kagiso Rabada have moved up the table in the latest update of the rankings. Imran Tahir had scalped ten wickets in the recently concluded series and thus he was awarded as the Player of the series.

Consequently, Imran Tahir was able to gain three places in the bowler’s rankings as he moved to the seventh rank. Meanwhile, Kagiso Rabada was also able to move by three spots in the latest ICC ODI rankings.

The series was dominated by the bowlers.

Therefore, Rabada occupies the sixth rank in the rankings table. Rabada also had a fine series as he took five wickets and gave his runs at an economy of 3.86.

In fact, the tracks in the three-match series between Zimbabwe and South Africa provided assistance to the bowlers. Meanwhile, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klassen were the top scorers of the series. Both the right-handers were able to score 104 runs in the series.

Hence, Markram was able to take a jump by 14 positions to move to 115th rank. Klassen who also scored his first ODI fifty in the third ODI took giant strides of 47 places to move to 118th rank in the latest ICC ODI Rankings.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe batsman Sean Williams who scored 82 runs in the series gained eight spots in the rankings. Williams now shares the 76th rank with India’s Suresh Raina.

Zimbabwe skipper Hamilton Masakadza scored 80 runs in the series to move up by three places to 64th rank. Tendai Chitara who took six wickets in the series moved up by six places to take the 45th rank in the latest ICC ODI Rankings.
