ICC Women World T20: India to Take on England in the Semi-Final

The in-form Indian women side will take on England in the second semi-final of the ongoing ICC Women World T20. The reigning champions Windies were able to win against the England women by four wickets to top Group A of the tournament. Thus, the unbeaten Windies will take on the Australian Women team in the first semifinal whereas India will square off with England in the second semifinal.

The first semifinal between the Windies and Australia will take place on November 23. The second semifinal between India and England will place after the completion of the first semifinal on the same day at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua. The match will begin early morning for the Indian spectators as the telecast will begin from 5:30 am.

Windies will take on Australia in the second semi-final.

Meanwhile, India has been in fine form in the ongoing coveted competition. Harmanpreet Kaur led side is yet to be defeated as they have won all their group matches against New Zealand, Pakistan, Ireland, and Australia.

Therefore, Indian women are riding high on confidence and will take on England. India and England had locked horns in the previous year Women World Cup final in 2017. Thus, India will like to take their revenge against the English side.

The final of the tournament will take place on November 24 at the same venue of Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.

Meanwhile, India’s former T20I skipper Mithali Raj has made it clear that this would be her last World T20. Raj is the leading run-getter for India in the shortest version of the game. Thus, Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will like to give a perfect farewell to the Indian veteran batswoman.
