India and Australia, who played the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 opener, will now play the title decider on Sunday (March 8) in Melbourne. Well, you have to wait to see whether the result will be different or the same as what was the outcome of the curtain-raiser at Sydney’s Showdown Stadium.

India got a direct entry in the final as they could not get the match in semi-finals against England because officials had to abandon the game due to the torrential downpour in Sydney. Thus, India were ahead of England as they topped the Group chart, Harmanpreet Kaur-led side got an unarguable entry in the final.

On the other hand, the second semi-final was played between Australia and South Africa. The hosts played a full 20-over contest, setting up a target of 134 runs.

However, the rain interrupted the game and according to Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method, South Africa was given a revised 98-run target in 13 overs. However, Proteas failed to chase the target and Australia went on to make it to the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
