India’s women cricket team has made an entry into the grand finale of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 without playing a ball in the semi-final against England. To be precise, the first semi-final was interrupted by rain because of which the match was declared abandoned by the officials in Sydney.

However, it is the first time in history India has gained the place in T20I World Cup final. Thus, they are being praised by fans. Moreover, Indian skipper Virat Kohli also wished the team on qualifying for the much-awaited final.

Also, Virender Sehwag and KL Rahul  took social media, to congratulate the women’s team led by Harmanpreet Kaur

India was ahead of their opponent England as the former won all the group stages matches whereas, the latter lost the openers.

Thus, the Women in Blue topped the points table which unarguably gave them the lead to be a win away from lifting the coveted trophy.
