Pakistan announced their 15 member for the 2015 ICC World Cup few moments bac. There are no huge surprises in the Misbah-ul-Haq led squad as the selectors led by former wicket-keeper Moin Khan have opted for a final 15 that has a mixture of both youth and experience. All-Rounder Fawad Alam misses out of the squad which raised the eyebrows of several Pakistani supporters.

The selectors have included Haris Sohail, Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal has been included ahead of Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali as there were reports in Pakistan that Shafiq and Azhar Ali might be included in the squad ahead of Akmal and Maqsood. 

Experienced campaigners like Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik and Umar Gul are not included in the squad. It was highly expected that Malik might make the cut after Mohammad Hafeez was banned from bowling.

The squad has 8 specialist batsmen including wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmed and 5 pacers supported by one frontline spinner in Yasir Shah and Shahid Afridi as the All-Rounder. Junaid Khan is back from injury and is included in the squad.
