ICC World Cup: 2019: India vs Pakistan Twittersphere Relish Rohit Sharma’s Sublime Ton in Manchester

Rohit Sharma has brought up his 24th ODI hundred in the day-long cricket. He will cherish it for so long, and there is certainly a reason that it has come at a big stage of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019, and, that too against their arch-rivals Pakistan at the Old Trafford in Manchester. He has brought up his overall third World Cup hundred.

The street-smart cricketer has the knack of scoring in the big games. And while living up to the expectations, he has done an exceptional job in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan on the other side.

But the classic top-order batsman Rohit has started off cautiously. Thus, he alongside KL Rahul after Sarfraz Ahmed asked India to bat first.

However, Rohit played some remarkable strokes which eventually saw himself getting into the groove to unleash against Pakistan bowlers.

Interestingly, Rohit wife Ritika Sajdeh also acknowledged his hundred from the stands.

For the first wicket, Rohit alongside Rahul has stitched 136 runs in 23.5 overs. During his effortless knock, Rohit has slammed 14 fours and three sixes to his name.

While going by Rohit’s flexibility, his quality lies in building up an innings.

Furthermore, the prominent batsman played quality cricket to entertain Team India fans at the sold-out Manchester stadium.

However, Rohit lost his wicket in the 39th over when he tried to improvise on the bowling of Hasan Ali only to see Wahab Riaz claiming a simple catch at short fine leg.

Rohit, who had been on top of his game, has kept Pakistan fielders on their toes which subsequently saw him scoring at the strike-rate of 123.89.

Meanwhile, India is in a commanding position after losing the toss. Besides, they’ve already posted 274 for two in 43 overs.

Also, here’s how Twitter has reacted following Rohit Sharma’s brilliant ton in Manchester:
