IND vs AUS: Revealed: Why Cameron Green Is Not A Part Of Australia’s Playing 11 for 3rd ODI vs India

Cameron Green, the tall all-rounder, was missing from the Australian playing XI for the third and final ODI against India which got underway at the M Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai on March 22, 2023.

The series is leveled at 1-1 with India winning the first match in Mumbai by 5 wickets, while Australia routed India by 10 wickets in the second ODI at the Vishakhapatnam as Mitchell Starc had picked his 9th ODI fifer and then Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh both scored scorching fifties.

In the first match as well, Mitchell Marsh was in scintillating form, scoring 80 odd runs in 60-something deliveries with 10 fours and 5 sixes and then made 66 in 36 balls in the second ODI win.

For India, KL Rahul had done well in the first match, scoring 75*, and with Ravindra Jadeja also scoring a fifty, India managed to chase down 189 with 5 wickets in hand despite being rocked hard a the top by Starc.

Steve Smith Reveals Why Cameron Green In Missing From The Australian Playing XI For The Third ODI

Steve Smith of Australia won the toss and chose to bat first in Chennai. During the conversation with Ravi Shastri at the toss, Smith revealed that two changes were made to the Australian team as David Warner came in for Cameron Green and Ashton Agar came in for Nathan Ellis keeping in mind that Chepauk’s pitch tended to aid spinners.

Smith said: “We are gonna have a bat. Looks like quite a dry surface, it is pretty hot out here. Will look to put a good total on this surface. We have had good fun and it will be exciting in the decider. We love playing in the crunch games and it’s exciting. It’s dry, so Ashton Agar is back. David Warner comes in for Cameron Green who is feeling a bit unwell, so there are changes.”

India, on the other hand, came in unchanged.
