Former England skipper Paul Collingwood feels Virat Kohli’s return to form will be a threat to other teams in world cricket. Collingwood hailed the former Indian skipper for his fantastic century against Australia in the final test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

The whole cricketing fraternity has been to congratulating the Indian maestro for his blistering knock in the fourth test match. Virat Kohli played an astonishing knock against Australia falling 14 runs short of his double hundred. Paul Collingwood asserted that Virat is a world-class player–and his return to form is a warning sign to other teams.

“He is back in form and a threat to all countries now. He is a class batter who can score run anywhere in any situation,” Paul Collingwood said.

Virat Kohli now has 28 tons in the longer format of the game, with a total of 75 centuries in international cricket. Kohli continued his good form since his comeback scoring an international century in Asia Cup 2022, which was his maiden T20I ton as well.

Kohli made an epic comeback from the slump in form to score five hundred starting in Asia cup 2022. The RCB-batter will look to take this form into the ODI series against Australia and then into the marquee Indian Premier League (IPL) for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

I Would Love To See Rishabh Pant On The Field –  Paul Collingwood

Rishabh Pant has been an important part of the team for the last couple of years and has played a major role in India’s wins. The left-hander was India’s leading run-scorer in Tests last year where the Delhi wicketkeeper batter has already reached legendary status.

Speaking to ANI, Paul Collingwood said Rishabh Pant has been one of the best batters for India and can make a quick impact in the game and India would miss badly on the field. Pant will miss the upcoming IPL 2023 with Delhi Capitals and most likely miss the ODI world cup to be held in India later this year.

“He is the best batsman. The way he plays is awesome and he can turn around the game, but unfortunately, he isn’t part of cricket this time. I would love to see him back on the field…the world (of) cricket needs him badly,” he stated.

Pant has been one of India’s most successful batters for India in the last three or four years. Indian wicketkeeper-batter got involved in a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early morning of December 30th, 2022. He suffered major injuries from the car accident which ruled him out of cricket at least for one year.
