The 15 men India squad for World T20 2016 and Asia Cup was announced today. India recently clean swept Australia in a three-match series and became the no. 1  team in World T20 rankings. With the Asia Cup just 19 days away and World T20 one month way Indian selectors will select a 15 men squad for the two marquee tournaments.

It was expected that both squads will be same considering the World T20 is knocking at the door just after the Asia cup. India will field the same squad same squad for both tournaments. The conditions of India and Bangladesh are the same so there will be no need for different players.

Indian captain Mahendra Singh although said there will be a couple of changes in the team. India’s top order has done extremely well in Australia and almost have a settled playing XI.

Talking about the bowling department young pacer, Jasprit Bumrah might a get a couple of experienced bowlers  around him. Injured Mohammad Shami has been selected for the both Asia Cup and World T20 but there was no backup selected has taken. 

Meanwhile, Manish Pandya dropped from the World T20, but Sandeep Patil said, “Manish Pandey not dropped. We discussed him. He is the future of Indian team.” Patil also said that they discussed the name of Amit Mishra, but finally, end up to pick Pawan Negi, who was also selected for Sri Lanka series. “We discussed Amit Mishra and a lot of other names. It is important to not be emotional about selection matters.” 

Cheif selector Sandeep Patil said, “horses for courses policy has worked well in limited overs cricket.” Talking about injured Mohammad Shami’s selection

Ticket for World T20 will go on sale from February 9.
