The South African team is under transition period and inexperienced but has talented players. In the third match at Bengaluru, Proteas easily halted India to score a big target and winning the match by nine wickets. Neither Indian bowlers nor batsmen put the good performances. Rassie Van der Dussen opines about South African performance and said their win was a message to everyone.

Quinton de Kock fully did a captain’s duty as he scored unbeaten 79 runs off 52 balls. Van der Dussen also appreciated his efforts.

India set a low target of 135 runs which was easily chased down by the help of de Kock’s batting. He was unstoppable as no bowler was able to get him down. He hit 6 fours and 5 sixes and showed a tremendous batting style. The vice-captain Rassie Van der Dussen said that India was not able to build pressure.

“They (India) did not have enough runs to put us under pressure and Quinton is a world-class player, he has played here so many times, he never even gave them a sniff,” van der Dussen said of his captain.

In the second T20I at Mohali, India won the match by seven wickets. India had a chance to clean swipe the proteas but the visitors came back and gave a fight, opines de Kock. He also appreciated the bowler’s effort.

“They (India) got off to a great start but I am very impressed with the way the guys fought back, they read the conditions very well, they stuck to their plans, they just kept up the pressure on India. We just stuck to our guns upfront, just tried to soak up the pressure,” De Kock said.
