India maintains their top ranking in T20 Internationals

Despite losing the semi-finals of the ICC World T20 2016 tournament, the Indian cricket team has maintained the top in the ICC T20 rankings. India reached the semi-finals of the tournament before losing the semi-finals to West Indies by 7 wickets.
West Indies who won the ICC World T20 title for the second time has climbed to number 2 in the rankings with 125 points . The third place is occupied by New Zealand who reached the semi-finals of the tournament losing to England in the first semi-finals.
The fourth place is occupied by England who played excellent cricket in the tournament reaching the finals before losing to West Indies in the last over. The fifth place goes to South Africa who was knocked out in the first match itself. Both England and South Africa are on the same points but on decimal points England occupies fourth place.
The next 3 positions go to Australia, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka who too knocked out of the first round itself. Afghanistan had a brilliant tournament winning against West Indies and gave a tough fight to South Africa, Sri Lanka, and England.
The last place is occupied by Bangladesh who lost all their matches.
In the batsmen rankings, Virat Kohli maintains the top spot. He scored 273 runs in 5 matches helping India to reach semi-finals of the tournament and was awarded the man of the tournament. Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Joe Root, Faf Du Plessis, Kane Willamson , Alex Hales, Chris Gayle, Hamilton Masakadza and Mohammad Shahzad complete the list of top 10 batsmen in T20 rankings.
