India officially becomes the number 1 test team in the world

After winning the third test match at Indore, the Indian cricket team officially becomes the number 1 test team in the world. India dominated the test series against New Zealand. With this win, India opens a gap of 4 points from Pakistan.

India are currently at 115 points and received the ICC test championship mace from Sunil Gavaskar. The second place is occupied by Pakistan. Pakistan will play the three-match test series against West Indies starting from 13th October. Pakistan is currently at 111 points.

The third place is occupied by Australia who is 108 points. Australia will play three match test series against South Africa from 3rd November. England is the same points with 108 points. They will play a two match test series against Bangladesh. On the basis of decimal points, Australia occupies the 3rd place while England is at 4th place.

The 5th place is occupied by South Africa. They have a chance to climb up the ladder when they face Australia in three match test series from 3rd November. South Africa is currently at 96 points. Sri Lanka is at 6th position with 95 points. They will face South Africa in 3 match test series against December.

New Zealand is currently at 7th place with a 0-3 loss to India. New Zealand is currently at 91 points. West Indies occupies the 8th place. They have a chance to climb up the ladder with 3 match test series against Pakistan.

Bangladesh too has a chance to climb up the ladder when they face England in two match test series. While Zimbabwe stands at 10th place. Here we look at the ICC test rankings.
