India team which is full of youngsters, still need to improve their skills, and they should needed to iron out its deficiencies, Indian bowling coach B Arun said today after Australia piled up 348 runs for the loss of 2 wickets on the first day of the 4th and final Test. Opening batsmen David Warner and Chris Rogers contributed a 200 run opening partnership to put Australia in the driver’s seat of the match on first day and Arun said his bowlers have to be more accurate.
B Arun said that it has been a mixed bag. India have to be lot more disciplined than they are at present. There have been events where they have been disciplined bu the thinks the consistency is going to play the pivotal role. There is a lot of work need to be done on that. They are trying to work out that to be more disciplined and consistent. Every type of wicket they bowl on is different. India team have to adjust to the pitch to be able to do that.
Ishant Sharma was rested from this Test as he got a left-knee pain and as such the team is losing the experience factor in the playing eleven. When he was asked if this was a factor on a difficult day and easy wicket, the coach B Arun replied that they are a young team and they are in the process of learning and reconstructing. They have performed well till now and they have been very aggressive in this series. According to him, the first 2 matches, they could have gone the either way. The fact is they are not as consistent as they should be. That is a factor and they really need to work hard on this serious issue.
In a surprising move by rookie Captain Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Shikhar Dhawan was left out of the playing eleven with Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma coming into the side.
