Ashton Turner played a sensational knock which helped Australia register a record run chase in the 50 overs format. He did his job without any fuss and took the star-studded Indian bowling; line-up to the cleaners. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal wasn’t spared as Turner kept finding the boundaries and clear the ropes on a consistent basis.
He came into the crease when Australia had just lost the wicket of Glenn Maxwell and was staring down the barrel. However, the young hun changed the complexion of the game within a few overs. He smashed Kuldeep and Chahal for three monstrous sixes. It was effortless blows which cleared the boundary with ease.
It was a magical knock from Turner as he remained unbeaten on 84 of 45 deliveries to seal the match for the visiting team. His exceptional knock was studded with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Meanwhile, earlier in the day, it was Shikhar Dhawan who roared back to form and scored a breathtaking 143 of 114 deliveries. He was supported well by Rohit Sharma who fell 5 short of a well deserved century. Eventually, the home team managed to post 358/9 on the board in their allotted 50 overs.
