India Vs England Day 4 Fourth Test : Four Talking Points!

India is surely on the top as they need just 4 wickets on the final day to wrap up the Test series in style. England now stands at 182/6 and are struggling to face the Indian spinners on a track that favours spin. Virat Kohli scored a magnificent double ton whereas Jayant Yadav struck his maiden Test hundred. Indian spinners also showed their class as England are already six down with a day to go.
So here are the Four talking points of the day :
Virat Kohli’s 3rd Test double hundred : Virat Kohli batted superbly to score his 3rd double hundred as India build up a 231 run lead over England. He entered the record books as he now has the highest individual score as the Indian captain. He scored a mammoth 235 runs of 340 deliveries in an innings which included 25 boundaries and one shot that went over the top of the rope. Virat continued his fine form but eventually got out to Chris Woakes as James Anderson took a good running catch.
Jayant Yadav’s maiden Test hundred : Jayant Yadav’s maiden Test hundred was a solid knock which was much appreciated by all the Indian fans. All-rounder announced himself as a useful batsman lower down the order with the hundred. He also took up the key wicket of Joe Root which helped India secure an advantageous position ahead of the final day’s play.
England’s batting collapse : The English team came out to bat as soon as India were bowled out but faltered right from the start. England is now batting at 182 with the loss of six wickets and is on the brink of going 3-0 down in the prestigious series. Joe Root scored 77 runs in an effort to save the test match but got out to a brilliant Jayant Yadav delivery.
Indian spinners’ late strike: The Indian spinners were once again right on the money as they picked up 5 wickets combined. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each while Jayant Yadav picked up the most important one of Joe Root who tried his heart out to save the match for England. England has a tough task tomorrow with only 4 wickets left to see out the day.
